(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit when I discovered that it is illegal to have a radar detector hanging on your windshield in California.Not illegal to have the detector, mind you, just to have it mounted on your windshield.
I am totally satisfied with this unit.I am using it in a Toyota Tacoma, and it is stable under most driving conditions and does not slide around as I feared it might.It has the added advantage of not rattling, which my detector did when mounted with suction cups.I have tested it with some spirited driving on the mountain roads and have not had any problems, your mileage may vary depending on how you define spirited.
It is also a snap to move the unit if you want it out of sight, or to set on the floor if you are in a situation where you don't want/need a radar detector.( Off road, for example)
This unit is worth the price just to get suction cups out of your life.I highly recommend it.
